Its dimly lit interior was lined with rows of antique books, their spines cracked and pages yellowed with age. Amongst these literary relics, there was one book that held a sinister secret.

The story centers around Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a sapient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment. Shelley started writing the story when she was 18 years old, and the novel was published 2 years later. Frankenstein is one of the first science fiction novels ever written, and it has been adapted into numerous films, television shows, and stage productions.
