Saint Christopher was born Reprobus and was martyred, as  Christophorus, in the 3rd century. Christopher means "follower of Christ" or "Christ-bearer" as he was. A small child asked to be carried across a raging river. He put the child on his shoulder and went forward. As they continued across, the child became heavy and revealed Himself to be the Christ Child. Christopher was carrying the weight of the whole world on his shoulder. Christopher is among the most popular saints and is one of the 14 Holy Helpers. He's the patron of travelers, bachelors, surfers, epileptics, gardeners, and Havana. He's also the patron against toothaches, storms, and sudden death. 

The front of the card shows a beautiful picture of Baby Jesus being carried across the river by Saint Christopher. A prayer to Saint Christopher is printed on the reverse side.
