Spiritual Coaching from a Christian Perspective
For deepening your walk with God through seasons of doubt, dryness, and discovery.
The spiritual life—whether vibrant or barren—is rarely a straight path. Christian Spiritual Coaching offers gentle, faith-based guidance for navigating the complexities of your relationship with God with honesty, depth, and grounded hope rather than religious performance or spiritual bypassing.
This service is designed for those moving through spiritual questions, struggles, or seasons of transformation, and who want to process their experiences thoughtfully, prayerfully, and without pressure to have perfect faith or pretend their doubts don't exist. Spiritual struggles are not failures to overcome quickly—they are sacred invitations to deeper intimacy, authenticity, and trust.
What We Explore Together
The spiritual journey raises questions that resist easy answers: How do you pray when the words won't come, or God feels silent? What do you do with doubts that won't go away, or questions that seem to have no good answers? How do you discern God's voice amid all the other voices—your own fears, others' expectations, cultural Christianity? Where is God when your faith feels dry, distant, or dead? What does it mean to rest in grace when you've been taught to earn God's approval? How do you distinguish between conviction and condemnation, between spiritual discipline and religious striving? What needs to be unlearned before deeper faith can take root? How do you hold mystery without needing to resolve it? Where is solid ground when your theology is shifting or your spiritual foundation feels shaken?
This Service May Be Especially Helpful If You Are:
- Walking through a season of spiritual dryness or doubt, where God feels absent or your faith feels hollow
- Deconstructing harmful theology or religious trauma while trying to hold onto authentic faith
- Struggling with unanswered prayers, unresolved suffering, or theological questions that challenge everything you thought you believed
- Feeling spiritually stuck—going through the motions but lacking depth, vitality, or genuine connection with God
- Navigating the tension between what you've been taught and what you're actually experiencing in your relationship with God
- Seeking to develop a prayer life or spiritual practices that feel authentic rather than performative
- Processing disappointment with the church, Christian culture, or spiritual leaders without losing faith altogether
- Longing for a deeper, more intimate walk with God but unsure how to move beyond surface-level Christianity
- Wrestling with God's character, His silence, His sovereignty, or His goodness in light of your pain or the world's suffering
What Makes This Coaching Different
This is not about helping you "get your faith back on track" quickly or forcing you to suppress your doubts in the name of belief. Spiritual struggles are often where the deepest growth happens—they are the dark nights of the soul where shallow faith is burned away and something truer, deeper, and more resilient can emerge. They require patience, honoring, and presence, not formulas or forced certainty. I walk with you through the questions and the wilderness, trusting that God is at work even when He feels absent, even when it feels like you're losing your faith rather than finding it.
The Heart of This Work
Spiritual struggles are invitations to release false images of God, to grieve what faith used to be, to notice what's emerging in the emptiness, and to trust that God is faithful even when He is incomprehensible. You don't have to have it all figured out. You don't have to resolve every doubt or question. You simply need to take the next faithful step, and then the next. Together, we honor where you've been spiritually, make space for where you are, and move gently toward where God is calling you—one honest step at a time.
How Coaching Sessions Work
All coaching is conducted exclusively through email, allowing space to question, wrestle, lament, and seek without being rushed or performing for anyone. You ask a question or share where you are spiritually—the doubts, desires, frustrations, longings, and fears that are surfacing. I respond with compassionate insight, biblical perspective on faith, doubt, and the wilderness seasons of the soul, gentle questions that help you see what God may be doing beneath the surface, and grounded wisdom for taking the next faithful step. This format honors the slow, often circuitous nature of spiritual growth, permitting you to process at the pace your soul needs.
What to Expect
Each response is written with care, prayer, and deep respect for the sacredness of your spiritual journey. You'll receive compassionate companionship that doesn't minimize your doubts or rush you toward false certainty, biblical wisdom on faith, mystery, suffering, and God's presence in the wilderness, practical guidance for cultivating spiritual practices that bring life rather than obligation, permission to honor your questions, anger, confusion, or disillusionment without shame, and encouragement rooted in truth rather than religious platitudes or spiritual performance.
